I did not know they lasted that long. I always had the food frozen in
one of the lockers below the cryo tube and avoided the whole issue. I
knew about irridiated food (it was developed for chemo therapy patients
who can't have ANY germs on their food when the immune system is put
down) but figured it would be best to freeze it anyway.
