While we're discussing the holocaust and its possibly combined causes has
anyone else run across any references to this theory? I do not know were I
read it except I know it was in a fairly serious source or I would have
laughed it off.
        I seems that some scientists beleive that some time in the past the
poles grew so large/ Ice-laiden/heavy that the weight actually caused the
earths crust to actually slip "sideways.  Shifting other crust plates into
the polar positions.  Of course the natrural disasters would be incredible,
earthquakes that would laugh at ol' richters scale, tsunami from hell, and a
complete change in climate for every place on earth!
     If anyone out there knows more about this theory I'd appreciate input.
 (just call me Johnny 5) .  I was mowing my weeds-er-lawn and I remembered
the theory, "gee," thought I, "that would make a great natural disaster as an
alternate to the Nuke war, and it would sure play heck with all the projects
carefully laid plans."
