In a pig's eye it is, just take a look at the "blue print" of it. It's a
piece of crap based on someone's love of "little Nell" from a James Bond
flick.

I don't think so, and yes I know what the book says, I just can't see it be
broken down into something that wouldn't be too combersume to even be
considered man-portable.

True, the P-47 is a REAL aircraft. Hell, for about the same size, you could
have a R-22 helicopter instead of that silly AirScout.
El> It appears overhead in relative silence (no motor noise),
With the rotors and prop? I don't think so. It's going to be noisey, and
there is little anything can be done about it. Look at the tailrotor in a
helicopter which is major portion of the sound of a helicopter, yet it's
mechanically driven. Would you think it's silent since there is ICE directly
attached/next to it? I think I've got my American Aerospace around here
somewhere, and it had a two page article on the R&D on limiting the Db level
from the tailrotor in a overall reduction to Db produced by helicopters in
general.

And if I remember correctly, pilots use to fire several marking FFARS to get
the majority of them on target. Having only two are a major draw back since
this type of aiming isn't possible.

As it crashes into the ground from ground fire.

True! Airscout cannot be described as an AIRCRAFT. ;-)
Not two or three pack mules and the mule

Could be worse, the Airscout would probably knocked out of the sky from the
propwash from a P-47 alone......

It's garbage. Too limited cargo, with silly 20 maintence because of the rotors
taking power from a fusion plant, ARG. I'd rather fly a lawnmower engine with
some wings on it..... (And Walt knows my attitude on flying ultralights:)
