One technique used to sell comic books in this manner is to put pictures
of real people on the cover, as opposed to drawings or paintings. While
most comic books of this nature lack any sort of interesting content, I
believe that MP does have a lot to offer and therefore you have the best of
both worlds. As Joe also mentioned, the books inside the box could then be
more traditional.
I think that from a marketing point of view, a good-quality photo like
Joe suggested would be the way to go, as long as you have good props and so
on. Waterpistol Uzi's painted black aren't going to impress anyone.
I plan on taking some photos like these once the patches are available,
just to see how they turn out. I won't go crazy with resources or anything
but it should be an amusing exercise. Fun stuff.
