However, Wolf eating psycho-spastic dog is easy. Wolf just waits for spazz
to wind down, then kills and eats at leisure.
The best way to break an ambush is to deliver an overwhelming volume of
ACCURATE AND EFFECTIVE fire, that KILLS OR INCAPACITATES the enemy. "Spray
and pray" is "miss and die".
The M-16 will empty its magazine in 1 to 1.5 seconds. This means that the
"spray/pray" shooter gets 1.5 seconds of noise, and then charges into the
enemy with an empty weapon. (DUMB) I can "fan" an M-16 on semi pretty quick,
and can direct the "snapshots" using "quick kill" / "point shoot" technique
to get rapid hits on lots of targets. Only hits on targets can be relied
upon to "suppress" the enemy. Noise does not suppress. As soon as the enemy
realizes your fire is ineffective, they will engage you and destroy you.
Short form:
Overcoming "suppressive" fire (noisy misses) is Bronze Star bravery.
Overcoming effective fire (fire punching fatal holes in your body) is Medal
of Honor bravery.
I would prefer to bet my life on the uncommon valor.
You CAN obtain rapid, effective hits. You MUST obtain rapid, effective hits.
Full-auto fire from anything other than a machinegun is a detriment to rapid
and effective hits under highly stressful situations. If you do not have
conscious and deliberate intent to shoot the enemy, you WILL NOT shoot the
enemy.
To destroy your opponent, you MUST deliberately seek to obtain effective
hits in a rapid and controlled manner.
