In a post TEOTWAWKI, I'm sure there is a decent amount of the above coming
into the FS via the rivers from out in the "uncivilized" portion of NA. >>

What the KFS does is let it be known that they will trade with the Gypsy
Clans. Some items (things people like Texicans and CSA don't know how to
works, so they don't want it) will fetch a high price in the KFS. So some
clans willmake it a point to look for this.
Then comes the real adventure nugget stuff. The Old Two Thousand run some
convoys of their own. SOme of the Gypsy Clans are really captained by one or
two persons from the Old Two Thousand and crewed by their employees and
slaves.
This gives them some selection over slaves that get captured (such as from
universities and the CSA and Texas - places of higher tech, therefore more
technical aptitude & training) and the ability to search for hidden
(unrediscovered) sources of these mateials. Don Harden had me meet just such
a thing a year ago. The convoy was moving out west and stumbled across Fallon
NAS in Nevada. Lots of these alloys there. They wouldn't let us near the
hangars while they salvaged. The trucks were loaded to the gills, and I was
sure they were coming back next season for more.

How's that?
